The ETAP has four 50 x 9 m decanters.
Design flow rate: 1m3/s per decanter.
The existing lamellar installation was in good condition, but had a maximum efficiency of around 55-60%, which limited the overall capacity of the ETAP.
Technology replaced: Lamellar modules with tubular polystyrene channels and stainless steel frame. Module height 1,350 mm and average orthogonal distance between lamellae of 44 mm.
WssDynamics has already converted 2 of the 4 decanters.
In the first of these, the existing spillway channels were maintained and has been in service at a sustained nominal flow since May 10, 2022 without maintenance stops.
In the second tank executed, the spillway channels were eliminated and it has been in service since June 9, 2023
Both decanters have very similar efficiency results, reaching 110% of their nominal design capacity.
Finally, an automatic cleaning equipment keeps the lamellar package clean and at maximum capacity, allowing 24/365 operation.
